New Zealand is being battered by the worst storms in 10 years, resulting in havoc - power failures, roads blocked, loss of property and loss of lives. I went down to the sea today to try and capture its fury - not the best of conditions, very wet and very cold and poor visibility, so results were a bit disappointing. I did not hang about for too long as it was not very safe either :) These are natural colours, it has not been desaturated. . .Panasonic DMC-FZ7 . . thanks for viewing - comments most welcome.

you have produced two outstanding "splash" photographs. the black and white view, even tho taken in color, is very effective!

One can see the fury clear enough Lyn. Thank God I don't need to face that any more. I have had some real bad weather around the coast of New Zealand. Lovely shot!

The wind is really whipping things up here and you have captured the fury so well. Both shots are very dramatic.

Ask your Congressmen and Senators why our existing wells aren't pumping more than 3 days a month? There a lot of unused capacity in existing wells.

I was smothering today from the humidity and this shot looks so cold. Great capture and it does look like a B/W. What power you have captured Lyn. Seems to be more ferocious storms all the time. Is Armageddon upon us?

We're dying in humidity here Lyn, it's very odd to think of you all being battered by storms there. This shot speaks my language - wild, untamed nature accountable to nothing and no-one. Worth the risk - but please hold on tight to something if you got out for any more ;-)

I like this one even better than the b+w (which I had in VB, 10)--The fact that you didn't even have to mess w/the colours to get this mood, even better. Great shot.
