I posted an image called Autumn Gold and this is in response to a request by Gael for a similar shot minus the gold tree. Save going back and chopping the tree down, this is the closest I have, lol. I hope it fits the bill. The lake is Lake Wanaka. Taken with Canon 450D.
As always. comments/opinions most welcome.

Yes it does look really great without the gold trees, you did outstanding work to clone the out, it's still a breath taking scene

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . Both shots are great LE and have their merits. A wonderful presentation of a place filled to the brim with beauty.

I have to agree with the removal of the big tree, though I think the small one would have been fine, and increased the depth perception.
No question that it improves the overall scene, though. Gorgeous.

Agreed. Both are excellent images. I liked the contrast and color the tree added to the view in the first image. To each his own, I guess. Now, Could I have one with the tree back in and the mountains cloned out? Just kidding. Definitely a beautiful scene either way.

Beautiful and peaceful place. I like your photo work - clouds are so dramatical and reflections makes the scene so impressive...

Lyn - Both images are beautiful. I think I like the tree in the image, as it offers a nice foreground image for depth of the shot. Thad

Another gorgeous view, LynEve! Dramatic, yet very calm and peaceful. I love the light and the colors in the landscape, as well as the composition, which shows off that marvelous sky. Excellent work!
