Taken with Canon 450D from the Alpine Lounge of The Hermitage, Aoraki/Mt Cook, New Zealand. Aoraki/Mount Cook (the middle peak)is the highest mountain in New Zealand,3,754 metres(12,316 ft)and is part of the Southern Alps, the mountain chain running the length of the South Island and which is larger than the French, Austrian and Swiss Alps combined.

It's a beauty, Eve. Don't mind me, but the neat freak in me doesn't like the crooked perspective

Wow, what a view. But I am confused about something. The Alps run through Switzerland and you are calling these by the same name yet the two countries are not connected. ??????
