One of my hardy little autumn flowering cyclamen waking up early one morning last week.
Editing done in PSP. I am not quite sure it is worked to advantage. I just felt like trying something different and welcome your opinions :)
Lyn, It never hurts to experiment, I like the surrounding area around the flower, but not so sure about the flower itself, not sure if you could keep the focus, and clarity on the flower, and keep the experiment results around it? Tigs♥ =^..^=
I also like the surrounding area better than the flower. I think I also prefer the previous one. However they both have their merits and it is always good to try new things .
I too like the surrounding detail but the flower is fine as the prime subject. It's a bit of too many distracting influences, Eve Removing the frame/border, a slight crop from the top as well, and a larger crop from the right border with some sharpening put's the flower in the best place with some added detail in the petals. The flower is now the star attraction and the background blends perfectly with the star of the show. The crop from the right border should go right through the middle of that round white (out of focus) petal.
A very pretty flower Lyn! I like the effect that you've used! I love to see someone try something new and stretch out of their comfort zone a bit! Way to go my friend!!
Lyn, does it make sense to say that the postwork doesn't go quite far enough? And if you could push it a bit farther, break it up more have more contrast and play as it blurs out into the surrounding area, it would create a beautiful contrast with the clarity of the flower?
