Taken just after 5pm 31/05/13 with Panasonic FZ28.It did not last long. I did not see the bird until I transferred the shots to my computer

It's ok, Eve. The bird saw you and immediately headed for the open space where he could be seen. I checked with his agent.It's a shame that sunrises and sunsets are so fleeting. I could watch them for hours.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
Wow! Breathtaking capture! Sunset/rise photos are my absolute favorites. If I had been lucky enough to get this shot, I would have felt so good! The bird is as majestic as the sky itself, and placed itself right on time. Great work.
