This is the remaining gun turret three of the sunken USS Arizona resting in Pearl Harbor.
I took this from within the Memorial structure that is built over the remains of the sunken battleship, the final resting place for many of the 1,177 crewmen killed on December 7, 1941.

I am posting this as the result of a comment by Nikoneer on one of my previous Pearl Harbour photos.

Interesting shot of the war ship as a remembrance of that terrible war.

Lyn, this is a good capture of the touching USS Arizona monument, commemorating the 1,117 US Navy sailors that gave their lives for our freedom.
We shall not forget these heroes!

Any one who has been to the memorial speaks of the emotional power of the site, noting the ship's visibility being the most striking part. You captured this well with this image.
