Many of you are familiar with my Bella. This was take a short time ago when she was fit and healthy. She has been loosing weight (almost half her body weight) and has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. Sadly the medication is not working and she is enduring her second night in hospital being drip fed and medicated as she is severely dehydrated. The house seems so empty without her. Please spare a thought for her recovery.

Lyn, thanks for the beautiful portrait of Bella.
I know from my own experience that people can become very attached to a pet because I myself have had a dog (Scottish Collie), several cats and a (talking) parakeet.
That's why your narrative really appeals to me and I feel empathy for your mood because of Bella's situation. I hope Bella can get fit and healthy again. I'm rooting for that.

We went through that same illness with our cat Sneaky during the late 90's. The medication also did not work for her - she eventually had a stroke as a result. I will keep Bella in my thoughts and you as well Lyn. This is a beautiful profile. My Sneaky looked very much like Bella.

Thanks to you all for your kind thoughts. Bella is enjoying being home. She was not happy in hospital at all.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
