As it happens, I have been photographing flowers all day today down at the Davis Brook Farm in NH. The challenges that flowers in sunlight present, and especially red, pink, white...and did I mention yellow?...are myriad.
Looking at this upload of yours, I see that you utilized one of the photographer's best friends, and that is either morning or evening light or shade and shadow.
I love the color you came up with here. It's bit cramped for my view, but I like it all the same.
