Can you guess what it is? Parts look like flowers, Shells, dragonflies, leaves.... It looks abit blocky in places, abit computer generated in others, but it is not. I agree the sharpness could be improved, but in terms of a background desktop function, I hope it can captivate peoples interest for a little while. I'll reveal what the image is shortly.......

Whatever it is, it's just gorgeous! I love it. I'm always a sucker for glassy looking stuff.

Okay, I'll take a stab at it. It's a glass plate or serving tray of your mother's. It's on a blue tablecloth or else that's darkened sky showing through it. Anywhere close???

I always love a mystery . . . and when it's in beautiful blues it has to be intriguing :-)

Or maybe it's a shower door (but why round in appearance?) and that's a blue towel hanging behind it!

:-)

Well...thanks for waiting....i can now reveal the results of the contest....... LOL
In fact it's a shot of the sun through my bathroom window. The image was always going to be a mixture of over and under-exposed elements as the camera struggled with such a bright light source at one point. But I pushed it even further by a couple of notches (-1exp) to reduce glare and shine and leave only the strongly defined lights and angles left. The typical blue sky was given that dark, velvet blue look by the exposure techniques I used and a very small amount of post-production. Hope it still entertains... thanks !!

An intriguing shot, and a nice surprise. What a lovely bathroom window you have! It makes a striking design. Love the flowers showing various contrasts. Makes a great wallpaper. Good clearness and fine glow. Thanks for a well done image, and Richard, I like your sense of humor :)

I need to catch up on things so can't comment too much. But I love all of your fine images :)
