It's only mega when it's zoomed in and cropped so much :-) Looks dangerous, but I think it's just a very health Garden spider, in England. I recall the body was about an inch long. Might be able to bite a human, but not an issue with poison, I think(?) It seemed to enjoy a bumper few weeks of bugs, whilst hanging across some wooden posts in the garden.

Hey Rich, I'm glad I'm not an insect. The sight of that thing coming towards me whilst I was stuck in it's web would make me die of fright before he got to me! Great image.
