A macro shot of a very striking purple flower in my garden. It almost glowed with a hint of ultra-violet. I did adjust the background slightly by applying a desaturation gradient filter from the centre outwards, so the colours are muted around the primary flower. It was a crude attempt, so no-where near perfect, but makes the flowers natural colours shout out even more.

Nice treatment and droplets!! Perhaps a wee too 'dead-center'?? Fantastic flora & colour!!

nice picture, very clear and crisp. good colors. If you are using a camera where you can adjust the aperture, open it up, and narrow the depth of field. I think a nice out of focus background would make the flower stand out even more.

Wonderful effect! I really like what you did to bring the color out even more.

I like the way you handled the background. I think the slight desaturation is enough to bring out the flower's beauty without having to blur the background, which sometimes can distract the viewer's eye...in my opinion.
