This is U.S. Route 1 (also called U.S. Highway 1, and abbreviated US 1) is a United States highway which parallels the east coast of the United States. It runs 2,390 miles from Key West, Florida in the south, to Fort Kent, Maine at the Canadian border in the north. This photo is at about the midway point at the Sandhills State Forest between Cheraw and McBee, South Carolina

Around here this road runs parallel to the ocean. It's a marvelous stretch and I know that during WWII it was closed and used only for military purposes due to security concerns. In fact there is a defunct military installation at Odiorne Point that is now used as a nature preserve. I like your perspective..Great shot!! :)

I've traveled down this road many a day Cal. I love the hills in it but always have to be on the lookout for deer don't you?. What a great shot this is-you've captured it perfectly.
