Billabong is an Aboriginal word. When I was a child we made no distinction between the language of one clan/tribe and the next, such was the ignorance of White Australians about the heritage of those who have lived on this continent for at least 60 thousand years before us. When I looked at this scene I saw only the beauty, my Indigenous brethren would see endless aids to survival and the Spirit of Place and the beauty. When it comes to my country I have a lot to learn.
I've been on holidays over Easter, done some camping, visited Melbourne, fired off a lot of shots. This is the first to grace Caedes as I only got back today.
Enjoy.
