Now I don't know that this bridge is actually called Beechworth Bridge but it's on the outskirts of the Beechworth township so that seems a reasonable name for me to attach to this image. This was one of those shots where nature was not willing to compromise for the convenience of photographers. Where the water falls away in the foreground, is a forty or fifty metre falls but the gorge is so steep sided I could not get much distance or angle on the falls, which was my original intention, so it forced me to use the bridge as a compositional element, which turned out pretty fine I think. :)

Enjoy.

Mikel.

Wonderful place and photo, Mikel. Surely it seems like very different from your original intention, but this is great too. Seems like it was recently rained and there are lots of water everywhere. The reddish color of the stones are great. Lots of beautiful things in this great composition.

Mikel - Oh yes, the bridge! I was taken by the waterfalls and many colors of the rocks in the foreground as well as the mountains in the distance. Very nice! Thad

Yes, pretty fine, I'd say, or on second thought...marvelous! I just love this shot. The water, the bridge, the mist-shrouded hills in the background, and the extraordinary colors in the landscape are superb. Very fine work here, Mikel! Congratulations.

This is a wonderful shot Mikel. The composition with the breathtakingly beautiful waterfall and stream that leads into the picture and to the bridge is perfect. Great clarity, details and colors. Excellent!

Eh.. Not bad. Seen better. ;-)

Damn. Tried keeping a straight face. Honest.

Mikel, this is great. Great composition, and a fine fine job of keeping the mist from being blown out and/or dimmed and lost.

My one issue? The rocks on the lower left. I'm seeing them as magenta and violet. Creative expression, or editing whoops?

*edit: looked again. looks like a bit too much yellow, or white balance a lil' too warm. still like it a lot though
