The Canon S3IS a couple of years back. The Mull of Kintyre looking out toward Ireland as the sun was setting. I loved the patterns on the ocean surface, I guess a mixture of currents and winds creating them. Oloneo tone mapping helped to bring up a bit more detail and any noise filtering I applied only removed the textures that intrigue me, so I left it a bit noisy, not a real problem unless I'm in pixel peeping mode. :)

It is a gorgeous view, Mikel. I don't know what NR you're using but it must be of the older algorithm type that most editors are still using. HDR generates considerable noise with some images, and needs the latest NR to do the job without affecting Sharpness and Detail. Pure Image and Topaz 5 are the best I've tested so far.

A beautiful view, Mikel. I like the wide open expanse of ocean looking out toward the Irish coast. Aside from the point of view, I think that what makes this photo so appealing for me are the soft, pastel colors in horizontal layers across the sea and sky and the patterns of light on the surface of the water. Well done!
