Longest glacier of Austria, Pasterze Glacier. While walking down to the glacier, signs showed the hight of the glacier per 10 years. This image shows the hight of 1970. To compare and give dimension, down left, you can see a group of people on the glacier itselve. Global warming made visable..

I'd love to see something like this someday. What a powerful force of nature, but I agree with Cindy. It's sad to see it so diminished.

Beautiful image, and the inclusion of the tiny people gives a sense of the huge scale of this glacier even though it is very much smaller than in the past. Well done!
