Bradlegh Lock is on the Sankey Valley Canal. The canal ceased to be a working waterway c1962. The remains of the Lock are a sad reminder of days gone by and the rapid march of progress.

I agree with Anita54, peaceful and serene, a spot where you can check your troubles at the door before entering. Composition and presentation are superb.

You've used a nice, natural lead-in here for your photo. The reflections add quite a bit to the serenity of the scene and it's very pleasing.
