I would like advice & comments on this one guys. At the moment, as most of you know, I have a small Praktica, 3.1 megapixel camera, (at least until Santa arrives !). I found something called an exposure value setting. I messed about with it, by the time I took this shot the sun had almost sank below the horizon. So this is the best shot of 4. Thanks, Stan.

I like the contrasts in this. The bit of golden glow from the sun hitting the clouds it set off nicely with the dark foreground. The shapes of the clouds and trees set each other off nicely.

From quiet homes and first beginning, Out to the undiscovered ends, There's nothing worth the wear of winning, But laughter and the love of friends.

I have looked hard and don't see a thing wrong with this image. It's a keeper. Well done, Stan. The exposure value you mention is, I assume (uh oh!), the same as exposure compensation. This is used to enhance the image when a subject is either too light or too dark. A negative compensation setting will darken an image that is too bright. A positive compensation setting will brighten an image that is too dark. You should see a scale on your sreen when using this mode. It shows you how much you can change the setting from zero. If I am correct, and this is what you are talking about, BE SURE TO RESET THE VALUE TO ZERO WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED. Otherwise the setting will be applied to ALL the photos you take afterwards. Hope this helped, Stan. Maurice

I too like this one Stan complete with composition, color and feelings. I'm not the pro that others are out here, only know a few things so I'm not going to be any help to you with settings. I'm still learning my Canon Rebel as we speak :( But this is a keeper, that much I do know and I'm glad you shared it.

Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita

The composition needs a sharper focus but the colors and setting are wonderful. The exposure looks right as well. It just needs to be clearer. 3 megapixels is plenty for what you do on this site. I never heard of the camera though.
