Hi Dennis.A wonderful shot here.This has special meaning to me because when I was about 10-12 years old my family went on vacation to Ca. from Utah and on the way to Ca. we were able to visit here and watch as construction was underway of the dam in it's infancy.This would have been around 1960-62 and we drove across the bridge which is on the downstream side of the dam and we got out of the car and peered over the edge to watch the construction below. My mom was freaking out afraid that me and my brothers would fall to our deaths- which by the way was 600' to the bottom of of the gorge! She was afraid of heights so she waited in the car but was yelling to us to keep away from the edge- but like any adventures 10 or 12 year would do we ignored her:):).....until dad made us get in the car! LOL. Anyway, thanks for allowing me to ramble on about my experience here:)
