another shot taken yesterday on the beach in Homer, Alaska. The feeding grounds are right on the beach, and while shooting this one, he was thinking I had food and got a little irate when I didn't give him anything. They were absolutely incredible!

Had to fave this Pam. He looks so marvelous and they definitely have a different look than the ones in captivity. Must be that freedom thing. I like the pose and the coloring. Should get high marks on this one.

I find it marvellous...So rarely seen movement and pose. Wonderful background and composition as a bonus to the whole masterpiece. This time I have to say you did your best. My best wishes. :) Toto

Very nice shot. He does look angry that your taking his picture without any sort of payment.

People ask how I can spend so much time on a computer in a day. I ask how a painter can stand infront of canvas all day.

excellent and your score is good, but it should have been better....such a lovely take and I agree with our friend Tick: There must be a look that all creatures get when they are free.

Super, my friend.

This is how I like seeing birds in photos; wild, free, and in their natural environment. close-ups are nice to look at, (yes, I once posted a couple of them) but seeing them, especially a big guy like this, in their natural element is unbeatable.

kudos

edit: seems to be a bit of noise, and the focus is a wee bit soft, but both are forgiveable, and correctible inPS. :o)

Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
