I am sad that it is a composite, but your composition is
beautiful.

You have done a marvelous job Owd Momma. Anytime you have Monument Valley in a photo, it is good. Surely there was a storm when the humid air of Louisiana met the hot dry air of Arizona.

Good work.

Nice work, Pat. :o)

Well, in terms of scale ... think you got things just right. No visibly apparent mismatch on the pixel front between the sky and then that of the landscape.

And a very nice creative touch, with respect to the lighting. Particularly, that which emanates and starts to bleed in from the left-hand side.

The following is not a caveat per se, more an item of curiosity on my part ... and ... perhaps something to consider next time.

Might have been tempted to use the Warp function on the sky layer. Effectively 'pinching' it in some towards the midpoint to create some ... some, that is ... curvature of the clouds. For comparative and creative purposes.

That said ... and quite honestly, you did a wonderful job of blending the two photos. Take a bow, Mama ... you deserve it for your efforts here. :o)

And ... but of course, thank you for sharing this one with us. :o)

One hardly notices the rocks/mountains as that brilliant sky attracts one's full attention. I find that glow from the setting sun coming out from behind the rocks on the left very nice. Very good manipulation, Pat - and that is my honest opinion.

Yay Pat, top notch manip, that's from someone who uses layer masks and blending layers all the time. That sky is to-die-for, Louisiana take a bow! I know why you only post the smaller images these days but that's my only fault with this shot, it's too small for my computer screen. :)) Mikel.

Honestly, I love the shapes on the horizon and the colours and textures in that sky are something else. The silhouette on the left takes up too much of the frame, but it's more than made up for by the drama you got here.
