A lovely countryside, Pat. I like that hay bale in the foreground and the freshly mown field. I also like the touch of gold in the landscape and that beautiful summer sky. A nice bit of warmth in a long, cold winter.
If late summer comes back real soon, that means that Winter can't be far behind. lol I am thinking that we should be free of snow and cold temps by...April? There sure is gonna be a lot of mud! Such a lovely warm and inviting image, Pat. That sky says Summer and the golden light does too. Beautiful view.
You should be up here if you really want to whine for summer Owd Momma. I wonder what animal is feeding on that bale today? The clouds and sky make this so good.
Oh what a gorgeous photo! Rustic beauty capotured and makes a fine dektop image Pat.
I would have been happy to send you some of out summer topday - it was toooo much for me - sudden hot spell and reached over 36degreesC with a howling wind to go with it - the sort that drives folk mad!
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . I always enjoy seeing those golden rolled bails of hay waiting to be picked up in a mellow yellow field with big puffy summer cloud formations..very peaceful view Pat! Diane

Pat - In the doldrums of winter, this scene is very appealing. Given the quality of the image, it would look great at any time of the year. I like the composition, with terrific horizontal lines offset by the cylinder of the hay bale. The angle of the sunlight brings a nice tone to the colors. Thad
