On a weekend trip to Prague I shot this picture with my Sony P120 camera. Standing at the entrance, it was like looking back into time and it made me wonder, who were those "happy few", privileged to acces all the knowledge there was at that time.

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile. Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

You would be surprised - my sister was studying in this room (I still remember it, though it was over 40 years ago) and in the old university library (must see too!!). I was then just a small boy living inside this history that has amazingly survived in this great nation. Although I am a Pole, I lived there for 5 years and learned to understand, admire, and love my second homeland, and great people living there. When you visit this land, give yourself plenty of time to sightsee. You won't be able to see it all anyway, it is just everywhere. Wherever you go in this amazing city, you will meet medieval, renaissance, and baroque times staring at you from every direction. If you open your mind and heart - you will travel in time from Vysehrad to Hradcany, through rooftops of Malostranske Strany, Orloj, Narodni Divadlo, Karlov Most with its incredible but true history, and thousands of sculptures and legends. I lived in that land for 5 years and was unable to see it all!!! This city is way more full of spirit of the past than Paris Or Madrid. And when you are there - walk along the river - Vltava, and listen to their classical music titled Vltava by Bedrich Smetana - then you might hear and see... who they are and WHY Praha is only one!
