I took this picture in the summer of 2005 at a very hot day in Death Valley :) It was like 51-53 degrees celcius... So in the evening when the sun goes down and the tempreture does the same, it's like 40-45 degrees, so you can finally come outside and look around in this amazing landscape on an evening walk.

It's a beautiful capture of the desert Jareon. The evening light and the red sands are an amazing sight and you've done a great job here. Thanks for sharing this one.

wow Jeroen! You can almost feel the heat just looking at the photograph! I can understand why they call it Death Valley - how can anyone survive for long in those temperatures I wonder! ...and the rating you have got for this reflects the quality of the photograph. well done! Patti

extremely beautiful image. the colors are in the right places and you can feel the heat of the day all around you. i would not want to be out in the day time. i like the drowns, yellows, and the slight orange colors with the color blue in the back ground. the dark shadows bring out the days end. its a very hot image indeed. i like it.ice water wont last on that front porch. lol

Nice shot. You picked a really good time of day to take it. I like the sky and the way the sun is hitting the hills. I wasn't sure I really cared for the road in the shot (at first) but after taking it in for a bit, I think it helps balance the shot in texture and colour. Thanks for posting
