Omaha has a series of statues spanning about six blocks that give tribute to pioneers. They combine beauty, detail, and whimsy in every piece. I've seen them driving by, but the other day I had a chance to stop and examine them in detail.

Similar to here in Toronto where we have some sculpted cows sitting in the heart of the city, an odd sight to see this pair near the modern building but a great sculpture in expression and detail...nice shot.

A detailed sculpture well captured Jeff, the shadows help give it life. On a cynical note I heard the early pioneers had a rough time and those smiles seem misplaced.
