The people I'm visiting in Bali gave me some local granola that contained snake fruit. I told them that would be a first as I never had snake fruit, so they went to the market and bought me a bag of snake fruit! You peel the dry skin off the fruit. The skin does remind you of snake's skin. The fruit inside looks similar to garlic cloves, but with a seed pit in each clove. The fruit is crisp, lightly sweet and tangy. Sort of reminds me of strawberries.

Nice take on a very interesting-looking fruit! It sounds like it would be refreshing on a hot day.

Oh wow, a new fruit to me and it really does look like snake skin. If you should have the chance, try dragon fruit and star fruit too.

I had a dragonfruit smoothie last year. BRIGHT lavendar purple that didn't look manly at all, but was fun to drink.
