Other than a lack of communications with anyone (except through the small window) the room doesn't look all that bad -- just boring.

To me 'boring' is a euphemism, as I would become crazy to be sentenced for a stay in such a cell, Jeff.
Think that I'm lucky for not having such an experience, 😄 !
