...A "High Nose Locomotive", where the only view as to where you were headed was from out of the small forward facing windows (or with your head stuck out the side windows) in the cab (no front windshield set), regardless of how it was positioned, forward or back! Railroad unions often dictated that TWO men should always be in the cab, positioned at each window so that they could see both sides of the track whenever the unit was running...These locos started disappearing from mainline service as far back as the late 60s...
