Jeff, in my small, almost flat, country we haven't mountains like in your country. What we have too however are the Kalmia latifolia flowers. Because the lack of mountains it hasn't the nickname 'mountain laurel, but 'lepelboom' (spoon tree in English). Some further details: spoon tree is a hardy, slow-growing evergreen shrub that grows up to 2 m high and flowers in May and June. The flowers are pink, red or white. After flowering, the spoon tree forms round fruits. The lanceolate leaves are poisonous.
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!
