(After Edvard Munch) What resides in the inner life and psyche of the seal? Who is to know...perhaps terror and pain at the loss of a companion to a great white shark...which has become a more common occurrence. In this case the portrait might be more accurately entitled:"The Great Yawn."

Paul, when I viewed only the title announced in my friends-list, I instantly thought about Edvard Munch's world famous artwork/painting. I saw later that you provided us in your narrative with a link.
I hope however that the by you perfectly depicted seal, isn't in a mental state as the person painted in Munch's work.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
