Paul, the piping plover (Charadrius melodus melodus and Charadrius melodus circumcinctus.) can't be found in my country. It's well known to bird watchers here however and they have nicknamed it 'dwergplevier'(dwarf plover).
It's an endangered bird species, but their numbers have increased since 1999. It's estimated now at 6,510 individuals.

There is something about the textures in this scene that have been captured so perfectly, almost can feel this through the screen ... excellent result!
