Sorry, I think I have to rain on the parade. Your focal point, if it was supposed to be the dove, is not, it is the top of the bird feeder she/he/it is sitting in. Otherwise, I have to agree, it is a great shot.

Rich - I think you got the dof correct on this. When viewed at a larger size, the dove is focused. Being at the about the same depth as the feeder top, both are clear. The darker lighting from the top gives the appearance that the dove is not focused. I might suggest cropping the photo to eliminate the lights, perhaps partway down the feeder roof which would help bring better attention to the dove. Thad

This image is most attractive although neither myself nor my dog-killer are dove fans LOL
Hopefully this one was sitting high enough.
