The Black Billed Magpie is an extremely shy bird. At the slightest sign of movement or sound in its vicinity it takes off.

It is a very lovely photo of the magpie,Raj,the colors are very good,pleasant lighting,it is very cute.Magpies can be found here too.

I know we have a saying in the UK about seeing a solitary magpie being unlucky, but that's certainly not the case with this fabulous picture, Raj. Especially considering the bird's timidity. Love the plumage details, particularly that bright blue on the wing tips.

It has snowed some today and it's bloody cold, -20C wind chill.
