Beautiful rich colour, good depth of field (Something a surprising number of flower images don't achieve.), nicely understated shooting angle off from square and just a bit off centred in composition. The super tight crop bothers me a bit, it feels cramped to me, but it definitely maximizes the flower in the frame.

This is a stunning image and beautifully framed. Technically however it falls down on one point - there is too much image noise in the areas around the flower. At a reduced size it doesn't show, but at full screen it is quite noticeable. I would recommend re-editing the original image and passing it through the "noise reduction" and "despeckle" filters in Photoshop Elements (or equivalent software), whereupon in my opinion it would be worthy of the permanent gallery in Caedes.
