This is a photo from yesterday. No, we don't have summer yet. The green finch sits on a Japanese juniper plant (small tree) that my wife had planted in a trough outside. The plant has withstood the mild winter weather we had and has started to bloom.

I love the focus in this, Raj. The bird and the branch it is sitting on are perfectly clear, and the branch in the back is blurred. It makes for a great looking shot. The color is outstanding, as well. Good job.

Certainly this is one happy birdie! Having his/her own tree planted & blossoming and living in the best climate ... Ours, that is. LOL
Glad to see this cheerful fellow in the morning, I say thank you, dear Raj & please convey my congratulations to your sweet wife for the wonderful idea of keeping this tree for such special guests.

That juniper really complements the finch's color and plumage nicely Raj!!! You captured him in a great pose with nice clarity and dof. He appears to be looking at something and I suspect it just might be your seed feeder - word is out in the neighborhood - Raj has seeds!!! Well Done!!!:-):-):-)!!!
