I shot this just a few hours ago at Egli Farm, about 30 km west of Dryden, Ontario. It was quite cloudy and cold (as usual!). I don't know how the poor creature was able to swim!
Wonderful image with lovely colors and great composition! I love how the swan is holding his wings in that typical manner.
Maybe swimming was the only thing to keep himself warm...excersizing makes you warm...

I always love to see these birds mantling and showing themselves off just like this one. This capture is lovely and I like the way the ripples on the water seem to shimmer all around this swan. Well done!
