Taken at the bird lake ´Tysslingen` only 20 km from where I live. Thousands of Whooper Swans make a stopover here every spring before they proceed to the north of Sweden where they nest. Not only swans come here but also Canada Geese and Greylag geese

All comments are most wellcome. I thank you in advance for taking the time. Always greatly appreciated!

Wonderful close up view of the gathering stop over. Reminds me of when the white pelicans were here for a short visit. It amazes me how so many travel together. They are beautiful birds.

Swans and geese seem to get on quite well together. These seem to like staying on land. Nice and very interesting capture, Susanne.

That one in the front looks like it is doing some kind of dance in its sleep. LOL. This is really nice, Susanne. I have never seen so many swans in one place, although I see flocks of Canadian Geese around here all the time. Excellent shot of those beauties.

Nice shot!! Here our spring gathering of swans is on a large lake, still filled with ice, and very little open water far from the shore. Photographers with a long can get great shots, but not the rest of us. so nice that you could capture all of these.

Hi All, if you see my initials on you latest upload you will know that I have had a good look at your photo, but at the moment, I'm getting over 200 friends a day, and I just cant keep up with you all, sorry, but I will look, but at times I wont be able to make many comments....No trees were killed in the sending of this message. Feathers everywhere Susanne. What a great shot. They must blot out the sky when they take off. They look pretty content.
