I was going through Caedes gallery and I decided to to see if I could emulate some of the image styles there. Also thought I'd try to give it a similar title...

More images and prints available in my Deviant art and Redbubble galleries.

is that from the reno too? 8•P

very interesting water ripple effect, a nice sort of double optical illusion 8•)

do the penguins have to read to count all the circles?

Very cool ! I love how your circles get bigger & closer together, & that beautiful blue background has a soft, watery look to it. That's really gorgeous & will make a terrific wallpaper ! Nicely done !

Cool design for a wallpaper. The only thing is...I don't understand the correllation with the title and image. I love the descent in size with the circles...it reminds me of the depth of water as it goes with the liquid background.

Neat image Sam. It looks like stepping stone in a creek. I like it and so does my desktop.

But.. boss, havn't you heard that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?
I love the title, sounds like a Monty Python sketch. I like the contrast between shimmering and flat finishes.

This is worth saving just for the title. I am guessing you're emulating "But we like the aliens"? That title fits its image better, I think. After all, Caedes could point out that none of the critics have actually seen an alien - or, if they have, they haven't seen _all_ of them - and, so, it's plausible to think that the blue dots and/or blue diamonds might be aliens.

On the other hand, only a very confused penguin indeed would walk out on the ice of a morning looking like a blue and white circle. I find it highly unlikely that an illiterate penguin would come up with an idea like that - they're the sensible ones who get the fish in and take care of the eggs.

With global warming what it is, though, this could be the penguin's future home - enormous icebergs reduced to tinier and tinier circles, isolated from each other by a strangely crinkled ocean.

I rather like the image by the way. I just don't think it lives up to the title.

Then again, I'd _really_ like to see the image that _could_ live up to it!

I was 100% drawn in by the title on this one. It's good you were trying to emulate other styles...with success I'd say. I was trying new things on Chaos so I appreciate the positive comments. Thanks as well for the constructive comments on my other shots. Having the input of others for ways to improve is invaluable!

Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb. - Churchill
