Even though there was nothing really wrong with the original photo, I thought it worked better as an "impressionist painting". Taken at the Botannic Gardens, Mt Coot-tha.

More images and prints available in my Deviant art and Redbubble galleries.

Nice capture Sam and a great choice of filter. The colors are great this would do well as an enlarged image on canvas. The reflection came out very well in the renders. Good one Sam.

Art is the perception of the creator. Meaning is the perception of the viewer. acceptance is the perception of society.

Great image. It works well as an impressionist painting.

Well done.

The lilly and water plants and that weeping willow are fantastic. All it lacks is an easel set up on the dock.

Oh, this really does look like an impressionist painting! It has all the feel, tone, color, etc. that a great artist would use. How awesome!

This is very pretty. Even before I read about the impressionist manipulation, I thought it evoked a Monet! Very pretty and peaceful.
Did you post the original as well??
Thanks for sharing! 10/10 from me.

Well, you have so many quality images, that its hard to choose one. But I like impressionist paintings and this is a fine one! The effects are top notch - I could see this on a calendar - it's gorgeous on my desktop :) The colours are vibrant and give a joyous feel to this image. The trees, lilypads, flowers - all can't be beat. That tiny piece of blue sky is lovely, peeking out through those lovely greens. Well, I guess you can tell that I like this ALOT! I think it should have received wayyy higher votes. Many thanks Sam, for all this beauty :*>

This is an interesting scene, I like it but I have a hunch I might like the original a little better.
Nicely done, lovely colours.
