Someone told me what this was a while ago, I think it was Spanish or Mexican Cherry or something like that. The colors reminded me of terra cotta pots.

What really makes this a good photo for me is the wonderful colors (and "shapes") in the background, plus naturally the perfect (IMHO) composition. A great Mac desktop... ^_^

Beautiful, Sam. The blooms are so delicate and gracefully captured. I really like the white stamens I guess you call them with the yellow dots on the ends. I think I would have considered cropping off a good portion of the right side background. It keeps trying to yank my eye away from the blooms and over to the right side. Still, a beautiful and elagantly done capture of the blooms.
