"Just how close you think I'm going to let you get"? I pulled this one from the trash bin.

The Green Herons have left my favorite lake spot only after I discovered their nest and the young ones have flown the coop. I hate that I missed out on the young ones growing up..maybe next year if they return to the same nesting area.

So why was he in the trash bin? I love his colors against the water. The water is so clear you can see his feet. His colors pop in the sunlight. Wonderful clear details!

I hate that you missed the young ones. They are so much fun! The locals near the nest I have seen said there were four nests there last year. So very likely they will return.

A great shot and I too wonder why it was in the bin. I am glad you retrieved it Opie. As usual a very clear shot and impeccable editing.

Honor those who gave all this Memorial Day Weekend.

You know that if you put your trash out by the curb, it is anyone's to claim. Let me know the next time you put your trash bin out, and I will be right down to get it. LOL. This is another excellent shot. I love the coloring of that heron. You have done a great job capturing this one on film...on card... on chip......well whatever. Have a good Memorial Day Weekend.
