Really good angle on the shot. :) Cool place it seems. I wouldn't want to live in such a building though. Just think about the bill for heating it up. ^_^
Thank you, Joost, Steve and Klas. The castle is on a small island, St Michael's Mount, (linked to the mainland by a causeway at low tide) and the path up to the main entrance climbs about 200 feet from sea level. The southern side of the island has been landscaped into very impressive terraced gardens which afford excellent views of how formidable an assault of the castle would have been. (The more ornate architecture in the centre of this shot is a nineteenth century extension, added long after the castle ceased to have any military significance).
The perspective on the castle only adds to its grandness. Well done and one more reason why your part of the world is a place I would like to spend a little time.
Wowzer! Just hope the earth does'nt move! How long has the castle been there? It's spectacular appearing. Super angle looking up at this castle. Pleasing green foliage all over those rocks and up to the castle. Fine work you've done..thanks for expanding my mind :))
