Looks like a great end-of-winter shot to me. There is potential here... first, the stunning architecture that the lack of flowers and greenery reveals, and then there is the bright, inviting chair and the great companion-statue, plus the winter sun on the branches and the pale blue (but still blue) sky. I love non-trite pictures and this one fills the bill.
Altogether this is an amazing image. I like most: 1. the symmetrical approach 2. simplicity 3. and as always room for thoughts/interpretations/ideas and concepts. Congratulations, dear friend !!!!
The "Abandoned Garden" is melancholy. It could have just as easily been taken in the fall. The browns and grays point to a less than lively period in time. It reminds me of Pompeii before the mountains exploded. The owner had made it out of town before it was too late.
I saw this in the VB and was impressed by the nice symmetry and perspective and its superb clarity. I feel I could walk straight into this scene. Nice work Steve :)
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
