Interesting picture. It looks like the paper or background is not saturated in some areas, like in the yellow-red part across the top. For using as a desktop, the lighter color of the paper showing through, and especially the very grainy, textural nature of this work, make it not the most suited for a desktop background. If you are working on similar paintings, try using a darker paper or saturating the paper with one of the lighter colors (yellow, for example) before printing with the others! You won't lose all the background texture, but it will be a little less "grainy" looking when photographed or scanned.
I like leaf prints very much though, and especially like the composition with the prints in the upper left hand corner. You might want to try a digital edit of this picture more suited for a desktop background - for example, set it in a frame, with reduced saturation and brightness, and then overlay a leaf graphic or something so that the parts that stand out are not too distracting. There are a number of artists on here that do work with very nice frames - these are great for desktop backgrounds. The color and texture in this piece is interesting, and it would probably make a great piece of wall art, but such a bright piece of work might need some simplification like a frame in order to direct the eye, when being viewed on a computer monitor.
Good colour coordination, aNd very interesting creation....would look good as a poster. Yup, I agree, a bit of framing would enhance it really...nice work tho..verena
is it a painting? I think it looks quite nice but it's also a little messy. That's not because there are so many colours etc. there but because there's so much white all over the image. I like the leaves and the colours on the left side.
