It's harvest time here and soon all the crops will cut down or the corn will be shelled and put in bins. Guess what comes next????!!!!

DON'T SAY IT!!! ....LOL. Beautiful shot, Carol. I love the angle and the view of the cornfields, and the partial view of the red barn. Nice framing with the tree.

If memory serves, Carol, my first guess is that winter arrives shortly after the corn is in the bins. So while you're freezing in the snow, I'll be surfing off the sandy beaches of the Central Coast. While you're warming your hands by the fire with the faintest hope that you'll get some feeling back in your frost bit fingers, I'll be in my cut-offs and t-shirt hiking the trails of wine country with Ollie. While they're putting that cast on your ankle because you slipped on the ice, I'll be riding my mountain bike through Big Sur an hour north of here or golfing at Pebble Beach 90 minutes north of here or shopping in the open malls of Santa Barbara less than two hours south of here. Maybe I'll even pop in and say hi to Oprah while I'm in town or head out into wine country to see how the vines are doing at Barbra Streisand's vineyards.

Roger

P.S. If I'm not mistaken that's one of those new white plastic fences. Nice clarity and focus on the tree in the foreground. Perfect country road and lovely red barn in the distance. Too bad it'll all be under six feet of freezing snow and sleet in a little over a month. :(

Pretty obvious to me what comes next..... popcorn! ;-)

Great shot, like the composition, the framing, and the little spot of red from the barn.

It's a beautiful setting, Carol. Have to say that the power poles have no place there. They definitely disturb the serenity :-).

I like corn, but not autumn, and I hate winter. But I love this picture, it's still warm and beautiful.

Spring? Love the way you framed this with the tree, Carol. The stalks are all beige now. Harvest is over.
