Carol, peonies have in my area a flowering period of about 2 months, with the earliest species and varieties usually blooming in the second half of April and the latest in mid-June. The vast majority of cultivars flower in my area at the end of May. How long a cultivar can bloom is very dependent on the area, weather, but also on the number of flower stems, number of side buds, etc. Under 'normal' circumstances, an 'average cultivar' can bloom for at least 2 weeks. I envy you because this extended peony season in your area, resulting in a exceptional Foofy Friday (F²) contribution.
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!
