The subtle shades of yellow and purple are terrific, especially refracted in the glasses. So... what was in the glasses and did you drink it, and is that why this project was loads of fun...? ;-)))

Well, whatever it was, was slightly bubbly, and I think a celebration is in order - this is a magnificent image. And this is before you've even finished the courses!

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

Really cool image Tracy. I love the muted shades of gold and purple. the lighting reflects very nicely in the glasses (or is that shading done by you?). The detail is also quite good. I can see the bubbles in the beverages as well. The color reversal is fascinating..the background color on the one side is different than the color of the fluid in the glass on that side...hmmm????. very intriguing.
Glad to hear that you are having fun! Cheers! ;-0
Thanks for sharing this with me :)

Great example of studio lighting! Definitely a commercial-grade theme...Would work very well in some kind of cuisine/entertaining ad...Nice job!

the beverage in the glasses is Sprite and yes, I did drink it afterwards. lol! I wanted the bubbles so Sprite worked pretty well. the colors were created by using gels in front of a single light source which was behind a screen right behind the glasses. I decided to get creative and use multiple gels to create different color effects. our teacher said that we would only need about 12 shots....I ended up with many more. fun times! I found it interesting how the liquid turned the colors. very nice effect and I had fun with it.
