This is the Paul Revere mall in Boston's north end and is on the Freedom Trail. The old north church was built in 1723 and in 1775 lanterns were hung in the windows to warn of the British coming and led to Paul Revers midnight run.

Can't miss that church as your walking down the sidewalk. Quite a bit of history in this town, isn't there? Good one.

Looks a cold and lonely place. No doubt some leaves on the trees will brighten things up.

I really appreciate these historical photos. The place oozes with history...and this is a great view of the church. Some day I'd like to see it in person.

Tom, as a 'foreigner' I had to check-out this link to know more behind the story of your capture, in particular the story of Paul Revere. The result was that to me your fine image was 'converted' into dynamic one from a static one.

Outstanding shot and like the lead taking our eyes to the beautiful church - really like the statue in the foreground - play of lighting and shadow is perfect
