Is that rye grass? In NY they grow rye grass in the corn fields after harvest to replenish the soil. Great autumn scene!

I am sorry for ignoring your question Connie , not intentional I assure you. I know some people with small vegetable gardens that plant rye grass and till it into the soil to feed it. This field is in Middleboro Ma and is quite large , about a quarter of it is seen in this photo , and I have taken photos here last year , Old Corn Field is one. I got there after the harvest this year and I do believe that they planted Rye grass as it grows quickly.
