A wonderful 'Jacob's Ladder' at sunrise, Tom. Some people mention this phenomenon crepuscular rays, but with crepuscular rays the sun rays are 'fanned out' into the direction of the sun, while in a 'Jacob's Ladder' the sun rays originate near the sun and are spread out over the earth's surface.
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!
